Innovative technology for highest quality
At the heart of the straightening process is a rotating 'rotor' assembly composed of Widia parts, renowned for their extreme hardness and durability. The RD 12 and RD 14 off coil straightening machine series, allow the accurate production of straightened wire ‘cut to length’ up to 12 meters. With a long-established reputation for rapid execution, ‘user friendly’ and of sturdy design, the RD series is a versatile tool, easily adaptable to the most demanding and variable production requirements. Industrial costs per ton are greatly reduced thanks to the RD series’ ability to perform where multiple machines and operators may otherwise been needed.
- A complete range delivers maximum flexibility
Within the RD range they are able to process wires from coil, with a diameter range from 4 to 14 mm. Thus the RD allows to set the production plan to a wide variety of requirements in sizing while delivering high productivity due to the ability to produce at speeds as high as 2.5 m/s (*). Employing a two roller drive systems, positioned at the ends of the “rotor”, allows to maintain precise and constant pulling speed, which guarantees very high quality, especially suitable when processing small diameter wire. The RD have the ability to vary the advancement speed of the wire, depending on the different diameters and lengths to be produced.

The operator panel P.C. Industrial MEP “World System” is composed of:
1. LCD screen for displaying all information in a user-friendly graphic form.
2. Insertion of the production data of the bars with the possibility of memorizing several batches to be produced in sequence.
3. Active diagnostic system for the constant check of the efficiency of all the devices of the plant.
4. Possibility to remote load via RS232 serial port (e.g. bar code reader).
